The Tax Preparer is experienced in financial statements, tax forms and preparation and completion e.g., 1040, 1065, and 1120. Must be well-qualified and practiced in business and tax consulting and conducting client interviews.

Our Tax Preparer positions are available as permanent full-time or seasonal full-time. Benefits available. Overtime hours will be required during tax season.

EXPERIENCED TAX ACCOUNTANT

Anfinson Thompson & Co. has an immediate opening for a full-time Experienced Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will be well-versed and experienced in trial balance/write up, payroll, bookkeeping and sales tax. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a plus.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or another field with relevant experience to be qualified and practiced in business and tax consulting and conducting client interviews. The Experienced Tax Accountant is a permanent, full-time position.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS AT ANFINSON THOMPSON & CO

In-Charge Accountant

The In-Charge Accountant will have 5-7 years of tax preparation experience and EA or CPA Licensure. Additional certifications are helpful but not required including QuickBooks and Certified Payroll Professional. Duties include management of projects from scheduling, progress and completion reports, project processes, rules, regulations and related updates. The In-Charge Accountant must have strong communication skills and become involved in the community with the ability to cultivate new clients and recognize opportunities for additional client services. The In-Charge Accountant is a permanent, full-time position.

Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper in our Accounting Department is responsible for verifying and entering details of transactions, maintaining records, preparing reports and reconciling statements. The best candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. The Bookkeeper position calls for attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. The Bookkeeper is a permanent, full-time position.

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for daily general accounting functions, ensuring accounting policies, preparing financial statements, preparing payrolls and payroll reports for a variety of companies and tax preparation. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. The Staff Accountant position calls for excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and the ability to multi-task. The Staff Accountant is a permanent, full-time position.

Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist

Administrative Assistant/Receptionist job duties include assisting clients and managing daily activities in the office. Candidates will need experience with a multi-phone system and software including Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a valid driver's license. An Administrative Assistant Degree or certification is a plus!

Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will have 3-5 years of tax preparation experience and is working toward or has achieved EA or CPA licensure. Having completed CPE in A&A and Tax is helpful, but not a requirement. Certifications in QuickBooks and Certified Payroll Professional are also helpful, but not required. Duties include Tax Preparation (1040, 1065, 1120), completion of financial statements along with bookkeeping and/or payroll functions. The Senior Accountant is a permanent, full-time position.

Senior Accountant II

The Senior Accountant II will have 2-4 years of experience in advanced trial balance/writeup, financial statement preparation and tax including the 1040 tax return input. Other required skills include bookkeeping and sales tax. This position requires the completion of 16 hours of continuing education in A&A and Tax. Certifications in Quickbooks and payroll and are strongly recommended. The Senior Accountant II is a permanent, full-time position.

Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is a contributing member of a larger payroll team. Must be qualified and able to complete payrolls accurately, prepare and process quarterly and monthly payroll tax reports and W-2s, and communicate with team, supervisors and clients. The Payroll Specialist is a permanent full-time position.

Tax Preparer

The Tax Preparer is experienced in financial statements, tax forms and preparation and completion e.g., 1040, 1065, and 1120. Must be well-qualified and practiced in business and tax consulting and conducting client interviews. The Tax Preparer position is available as permanent full-time or seasonal full-time.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

The Certified Public Accountant position requires at least three years of experience servicing the tax, accounting and consulting needs of individuals and businesses. A CPA must have excellent communication, writing and analytical skills. The CPA is a permanent, full-time position.
